Heads up

Things people miss in Montana

#1 No Combined Exam

Montana does not offer a combined Life & Health exam; each line of authority requires its own separate exam and fee.

#2 Fingerprinting Process

Fingerprinting is managed via a manual mail-in process with CSI, which can take 1-2 weeks longer than standard digital fingerprinting.

#3 License Expiration

Licenses renew every 2 years; a one-year grace period exists for late renewal, but after one year, you must reapply as a new applicant.
